Satay

Satay (/ˈsæt//ˈsɑːt/ sah-tay), modern Indonesian  spelling of sate, is a dish of seasonedskewered and grilled meat, served with a sauce.Satay may consist of diced or sliced chickengoatmuttonbeefporkfish, other meats, or tofu; the more authentic version uses skewers from the midrib of the coconut palm frond, although bamboo skewers are often used. These are grilled or barbecued over a wood or charcoal fire, then served with various spicy seasonings.

Satay originated in Java, Indonesia. It is available almost anywhere in Indonesia, where it has become a national dish. It is also popular in many other Southeast Asian countries, including Malaysia, SingaporeBruneiThailand, the Philippines, as well as in Suriname and the Netherlands, as Indonesia and Suriname are former Dutch colonies.
These tasty meat skewers cook up over coals so hot they need fans to waft the smoke away.
Whether it’s chicken, goat, mutton or rabbit, the scrappy morsels get marinated in turmeric, barbecued and then bathed in a hearty dose of peanut sauce.
Other nations now lay claim to sate, but Indonesians consider it a national dish conceived by street vendors and popularized by Arab traders.
Each vendor seeks distinction, but "sate madura" –- served with rice cakes (ketupat) and diced cucumber and onion -– is distinguished by its boat-shaped street carts.

These are some type of satay based by the ingredient

Making the beef

by Ramzy Muliawan - own work
- cut the beef into 1 cm dice. (cube cut or macedoine cut)
- put it into the skewer (3-4 pieces in one skewer)
- add 3 tbs of the sauce and lots of sweet soya sauce on top of it. Mix well.
- Marinate the beef in 5 minutes and start to grill it. Tips: brush the beef with the marinate sauce while grilling. It will become more delicious.
- Occasionaly turn the beef until its cooked. The beef its easily cooked so be careful.
- After all the satay its cooked, put the rest of the sauce, sweet soya sauce (around 5 tbs spoon or more), kaffir lime juice (half or 1 of it) and mix it together.
- Put the fried shallots on top of it. Serve with nice warm rice.

Replace the beef with chicken breast then it'll be chicken satay, and so do the other meats. But, it'll be great if you make your own sauce recipe with your own taste.

My Fantastic Holiday

Hei Ho good people ! :D Now i'll tell you about my last semester break.

The holiday started after study result given by school to the student. It was very pathetic because my semester result wasn't great. At the beginning, my holiday activity was training and preparing for Pendas which was Jamadagni's extracurricular activity.

Pendas was held at 27th Desember until 2 January. Pendas was very tough activity, it trained me to be an excellent boy with skill. the training wasn't like how i used to be. They trained me to be more focus and care about my circle. I remember that when the new year came, i was on my emergency shelter that builded by some leafs and trunks. It was rainy that night.

The saddest moment is when my parents came to pick me up at the last day. It was as the same time when i leveled up from student to young member of Jamadagni. I changed my yellow student shawl to blue young member shawl.

I came to my house at 10AM. After seven day not showering, finally i got shower at my house and spend half a hour to clean my body. After i got shower, i fell asleep. Then i woke up at 6PM, when my parents woke me and told me to pray.

At 7PM me and my parents went to my house at Pangalengan. It was very nice and so relaxing. I was very happy there. I got so many scar on my feet and my arms, i felt my back was very awful. I couldn't feel my feet when it was touched. My fingertip's skin was peeled. Thehe enough about the complaint, the point is, my condition was very bad that time.

I got brightened up when my mom told that some meat from the new year party was stored for me. I jumped from my bed that time, and started to grill all with myself. Then my spirit restored, and i started to do some activities again.

I was very happy when i met my childhood friends in Pangalengan. They took me to Cukul, a place at Pangalengan which has an extreme road way. They played Gravity bike there. Gravity bike was an ordinary freestyle bike but the chasis of the bike was up downed so the bike shape was like some MotoGP shape. It was very extreme. But my childhood friends enjoyed it and mastered it.

After i spend my holiday at my house, i went to my grandma's house. I met a many of my cousin there. Again, i have a great time there. I played many card game, computer game, and even kite. I told my cousin about my experience when pendas. They thought it was horrible and scary. I got lot of money there.

After so many fantastic things on my holiday, i felt that i don't wanna go to school again. But, duty is a duty, and of course i won't leave my duty. Especially a duty that my parents give.
